The Pendred Family’s Dedication
Based out of UBEO's East Region, Rich and Val Pendred, along with a team of volunteers, have been dedicated leaders in Operation Christmas Child for over a decade, running a drop-off site where businesses, churches, and individuals can bring their packed shoeboxes.
In addition to managing the drop-off site, the Pendreds host annual shoebox packing parties with items collected from local businesses and community donations.
Rich even raises funds by bringing smiles as Santa Claus during the holiday season, using his visits to support the following year’s packing parties.
Their efforts have contributed over 20,000 shoeboxes in the last 10 years, spreading joy and love to children across the globe.
